Outrigger Canoe Club has entered crews in every Na Wahine O Ke Kai race.  Many of the women have enjoyed the sport for decades, competing first in the open division and later as masters.

Paula Crabb and Kisi Haine have each crossed the Channel in OCC canoes 28 times, while Mary Smolenski has made 23 crossings and Tracy Phillips 21.

Coaching these women over the years have been some of the best mentors in canoe racing: Tom Conner, Mike Holmes, Keoni Kino, Aaron Young, Steve Scott, Walter Guild, John Puakea, Tom McTigue, Mike Beyer, Bret Chuckovich, Wyatt Jones, Jimmy Kincaid, Ian Forester, Guy Wilding, and the ladies: Mary Franco, Liz Perry, Tracy Phillips and Shelley Oates-Wilding.

We are extremely proud of our OCC Na Wahine O Ke Kai.
