One of the favorite events of the OCC Running Team was the Hana Relays on Maui. Outrigger began entering the event in 1987. The race is 54 miles long from Kahului to Hana along Hana Highway and is made up of six-person teams who run 17 two-to-three and one-half mile legs. The event is held in September each year. Outrigger entered teams in the open, mixed and masters divisions.
