Outrigger Canoe Club has participated in canoe racing since 1908. These include one-time races as part of water carnivals, regularly scheduled events, and special invitational races, both regattas and long-distance.
The Club has featured these races on the pages of its monthly magazine for members, first the Forecast which began in 1948 and was published until 1961, and later the Outrigger Magazine which began in 1964. You can follow the Club’s history in these historic articles. Articles are noted by the year and month that they appeared in the magazine.
Other Forecast and Outrigger magazine articles about the Club canoes, Macfarlane Regatta, Dad Center Long Distance Race, Molokai Hoe, Na Wahine O Ke Kai, HCRA and OHCRA may be found in the sections about those events.
