The primary function of the Winged “0” Committee was to organize and present the Annual Athletic Awards Banquet. At the Banquet the Winged “0” Committee recognized all of the individuals and teams that had won State and Club Championships; also those individuals and teams that had received national recognition.
At the conclusion of the Banquet the Winged “0” Committee was proud to announce their selection of a Winged “0” awardee in recognition of his or her outstanding achievements and contributions to the Club’s athletic programs.
By the late 1980s, the banquet had grown so large that each of the sports began holding their own awards banquets at the end of their season.
