George Brangier, a long-time member of the Outrigger Canoe Club, was elected to Life Membership at the Annual Meeting on February 27, 1984. George joined the Buildings and Grounds Committee in 1970 and for the next 15 years he was responsible for overseeing the landscaping at the Club. He would go to the Club each morning and work with the gardeners on their work for the day. He chose the plants and shrubs and oversaw the planting, weeding and everything else needed to make the Club’s landscaping beautiful.
